Greg Ward

Greg E. Ward was born in Columbus, OH on March 6, 1961, and passed away on August 22, 2024, in Tallahassee, FL at the age of 63. Talented, caring, intelligent, and fun, Greg had a skill for connecting with people with his charisma, playful sense of humor, and friendly nature. He enjoyed his many nicknames such as Greggie, the Bard, and GRock. Greg was an impressive musician and songwriter - it was a gift to witness him play the guitar and piano and hear his beautiful voice. He felt at home playing in rock bands, performing in S. Florida theatre productions, and participating in FSU's music and theatre programs. He enjoyed being with his church parish and was grateful to direct and perform in a musical that raised money for the Diocese of Toliara in Madagascar. His talents didn’t stop in the arts: he had decades of experience with chiropractic, massage therapy, and acupuncture and had helped many people experience relief and healing. He also worked in residential and commercial real estate creating successful endeavors. Through the years, his joy for his family and friends shined. The love of his life, Darlene Ward, and his daughter, Chloe Ward, will hold dear the life they shared with Greg. He is also survived by his brother Chris (Suzan) DeMeo, stepsiblings, his aunt Lois Sturm, his uncle Eddie (Connie) Hammond, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends who loved and adored him. He is preceded in death by his mother Louretta Ward and father Larry Ward. May he Rest in Peace in God's everlasting love.
