Elizabeth Leigh Karasick

October 8, 1927 - February 7, 2022

Elizabeth Leigh Stocker Karasick, formerly of Spring Valley, NY, passed away on February 7, 2022, in Monticello, FL at the age of 94. Elizabeth was born and raised in Spring Valley, NY and married Bill on September 17, 1949. Known to her friends as Betty, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many who put her career aside to raise her family. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William R. Stocker, Bill to his friends and a second husband of 22 years, parents George and Ethel Sackett and sister, Doris Frenz. She is survived by her three children, William R. Stocker, Lisa Stocker Steffens and George S. Stocker (Laura); four grandchildren, Damon A. Steffens (Amy), Jordan J. Steffens, Ryan G. Stocker (Lyndsey) and Meredith E. Stocker; and five great grandchildren. She was always active in her community, church and loved the outdoors, especially the beach. Betty was a longtime active member of the Reformed Church of Spring Valley and was retired from the Rockland Journal News. She will be missed. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity. The family is being assisted by James Sircy and Jackie Fulford of Young Fulford Funeral Home.
