Cristy Curry Keefer Beaty

May 6, 1966 - December 4, 2021

Cristy Keefer Beaty, a long term resident of Wakulla County, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday December 4th. Cristy was born on May 6th, 1966 in Jupiter, FL to Glenn and Cheri Keefer. Cristy moved from city to city across the state throughout her childhood before her family settled in Wakulla County prior to her sophomore year. During this time Cristy came into her own as a member of the cheerleading squad and yearbook staff before graduating in 1984. She then continued her education at Lively Institute where she graduated with a nursing degree to pursue her passion for helping others. Cristy was a free spirit who never met a stranger. Her smile and propensity to hold a conversation allowed her the ability to relate with people from all walks of life. Some of her hobbies included spending time at the beach, rescuing and raising animals and, most of all, spending quality time with family and friends. Cristy is now reunited with her beloved father Glenn who passed away in 2009. She is survived by her mother, Cheri Keefer; brothers, Brian Keefer and Mike Singleton; Sister, Karen Weldon; Children, Summer Padgett and Keefer Beaty; Lifelong partner, Jimmie Padgett; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Shell Point Beach on December 18th at 11 am. The family request you wear vibrant colors to reflect Cristy’s spunky and happy personality. The family would like you to know that there is no need to purchase flowers for the Celebration of Life. If, however, you do intend to do something of this nature, they believe Cristy would prefer that instead a memorial donation in her honor be made to the American Cancer Society or the Big Bend Hospice organization.
