Patsy Robshaw

Patsy Herbel Robshaw passed away in the loving care of her family on May 28, 2024. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, and friend who will be greatly missed. She carried her indomitable spirit right up to the end of her 88 years. Born the youngest of a large family in Pittsburgh, PA on May 25, 1936, she is preceded in death by her parents John and Clara Herbel, siblings Eddie, Richard, Peg, Audrey, and Betty, and husband Charles (Causey). She is survived by her children Mary Robshaw Rogers and Charles Robshaw, grandchildren Katie Wich, Andrew Rogers, and Brady Robshaw, and great-grandchildren Alisa and Warden Rogers Orphaned at the age of 14, she developed a get-it-done attitude as well as a deep appreciation for the value of family and friends. It was at this time that she, along with her two sisters, left Pittsburgh and moved into the welcoming home of her eldest sister in Miami, FL. Miami would be home for the next 37 years. She graduated from Miami Senior High in 1954 and was married to her husband of 42 years after meeting him on a blind date in 1958. For the majority of her career she worked at Coral Gables Federal, starting as an Insurance clerk and moving up to Assistant Vice President in charge of the insurance department. In 1987 she moved to Tallahassee, FL. She was a devoted member of the Good Samaritan United Methodist Church and volunteered throughout her community. Always up for any game, she had a passion for bridge, MahJongg, and travel and cherished the friendships she formed there. Her clever wit, quick smile, and loyalty live on in our hearts. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 4th at the Good Samaritan Church at 3720 Capital Circle SE with a reception to follow. In a family gathering, Patsy will later join her husband at the National Cemetery in Tallahassee, FL.
