In Loving Memory of Larry Martin McPherson January 14, 1943 – July 8, 2026 Larry Martin McPherson, 83, of Woodville, Florida, passed peacefully into eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 8, 2026. Larry proudly served his Country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His service reflected the courage, dedication, and quiet strength that remained with him throughout his life. A true outdoorsman, Larry found great joy riding through the woods, hunting, fishing, working in his yard, and enjoying God’s creation. He had a remarkable talent for growing flowers, gardening, woodworking, and painting hot rods, taking pride in everything he built, repaired, or restored. He believed in hard work, doing things the right way, and leaving them better than he found them. More than anything, Larry loved his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose love was steadfast and unconditional. He was known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, generous nature, and unforgettable sense of humor. Larry never met a stranger. He welcomed everyone with warmth, treated people with dignity and respect, and left a lasting impression through countless quiet acts of kindness. His family and friends were his greatest treasures, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Larry was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mamie Britt; mother, Jeanette Herring; his brother, Johnny Herring; his son, Tommy McPherson; his wife, Arlene Clemons; and his uncles, Clarence Britt (Betty), Virgil Britt (Evelyn), and Charlie Britt (Ruth). He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Marty McPherson and Matt McPherson (Angie); his daughter, Carrie Taylor (Roy); his stepson, Wheeler Clemons (Annette); his sisters, Shirley Ingram (Walter) and Laverne Webster (Beau); his grandchildren, Clint McPherson (Tiffany), Laken Silvera (Carlos), Jake McPherson, Austen Colvin (Brittiany), Dusten Colvin (Sydney), Cory Taylor (Chelsie), Georgia, Madison, Hunter, and Sarah; along with a host of beloved great-grandchildren; nieces, Kim and Laurie; a nephew, Greg; cousins; extended family members; and many cherished friends. Larry’s legacy is one of faith, love, service, integrity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. While his family will miss him beyond words, they rejoice in the promise that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. The love he gave so freely and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
