Ann Taylor McLeod

Ann Taylor McLeod, 65, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2024. Ann was born on January 8, 1959 to John and Virginia Taylor. She was the youngest of four children: the late John Taylor, Jr; the late Edith Gay Taylor, and Patricia Lott. Ann treasured her family and spoke of them often. Ann graduated from Southland Academy in Americus, GA. Hoping to follow in her father's footsteps of being a pharmacist, Ann attended the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy and graduated with her bachelor’s degree. Ann was a proud member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan. She was of the Methodist faith. Ann met her husband, the late Jimmy Mcleod, and eventually settled in Tallahassee, FL. God Blessed them with two sons: James A. McLeod Jr. and John T. McLeod, whom she loved dearly. Ann held several positions as a Senior Pharmacist in both Florida and Georgia. Most recently, she held the position of Medicaid Policy Senior Pharmacist for Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration. She enjoyed being a pharmacist and took pride in her career. Ann had several passions including genealogy, football, traveling, sewing, and keeping up with the British royal family. She shared her home with her two cats Emma and Bailey. Ann is survived by her children: James A. McLeod, Jr (Samone) and John T. McLeod (Shannon Duncan), both of Tallahassee, FL. Sibling: Patricia Lott (Dan) of Roswell, GA. Nieces and Nephews: Tyler Taylor (Leigh Anne) of Athens, GA; Tiffany Taylor Smith (Ed) of Atlanta, GA; Dr. McGregor Lott (Mary Elizabeth) of Jacksonville, FL; Ginny Lott-Shaw (Megan) of Dallas, TX; and Jim Lott (Courtney) of Milton, GA. Several grand nieces and nephews also survive. Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. and Mrs. John H Taylor; Siblings: John Herschel Taylor Jr and Edith Gay Taylor. A visitation will be held at Oglethorpe Baptist Church (210 Sumter St, Oglethorpe, GA 31068) on Friday, April 5th at 11:00 AM. This will be followed immediately by a memorial service at 12:00 PM and a grave-side committal at Oglethorpe Cemetery.
