Conor Patrick Boyle

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Conor Patrick Boyle announces his passing on November 18, 2022, in Tallahassee, FL at the age of 40. Conor is a beloved partner, stepfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He brought light to all those who knew him. His sudden loss is deeply felt. Conor was born on February 27, 1982, to his birth mother Terri Underwood and birth father Bruce Harrison. He was lovingly placed for adoption with his parents Marcia Baker and John “Jack” Patrick Boyle. He became a big brother when his sister Maureen Boyle was born and adopted by their parents. Little Conor was gleeful and courageous with a sunny laugh. He loved to hear his dad Jack play guitar and sing “Puff the Magic Dragon.” Conor’s favorite childhood stories were told by his mom Marcia over a magical cauldron at Halloween. Conor attended Temple Israel Preschool in Tallahassee where he ran over the wooden bridge as fast as he could. He leapt at the chance to ride home from day camp on his dad’s motorcycle, and they continued to ride together throughout Conor’s life. Conor went to Augusta Raa Middle School and Leon High School in Tallahassee. He kept in touch with many good friends from his school days. Conor was devoted to his partner Kayla McKee and stepsons Ethan and Owen McHugh. His greatest joy in life was to spend time with his family. He cheered the boys on at their soccer games and loved to see live music with them and watch FSU games together. He told perfect dad jokes and had the most impressive dance moves. Conor started and managed a successful business in Tallahassee. His mom enjoyed riding with him in his big red truck as he met with customers and friends. He treated everyone he knew with kindness and dignity. St. George Island was one of Conor’s favorite places to be. When he was a kid, he dashed out into the waves to reach the sandbar with his dad and little sister and spent afternoons drifting in a raft with his stepmom Brenda Barineau. Brenda will always miss his big bear hugs. He vacationed there with Kayla, Ethan, and Owen and fished the summer days away. Conor was happiest at a music festival with his family under the stars at Red Rocks or by the banks of the Suwanee River. His life was set to the best soundtrack on Earth. Conor is survived by his partner Kayla McKee and stepsons Ethan and Owen McHugh, mother Marcia Baker, father John Patrick Boyle and stepmother Brenda Barineau, sister Maureen Boyle (Judson Finley), stepsiblings Josh Selfe (Amy Selfe) and Jennifer Tedder (Brandon Tedder), mother-in-law Kathy Jackson (Johnnie Jackson), father-in-law Scott McKee (Lisa McKee), niece Edith Finley, and his birth family, Terri Underwood, Bruce Harrison, Tiffany Whelan-Fodor, and Robbin Shimp. Conor was joyfully reunited with his birth family, and he cherished his time with them. His soul is now flying free together with his dearly loved brother-in-law Anthony McKee. A celebration of Conor’s life will be held at Dorothy B. Oven Park & House, on January 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
