Caitlin Amanda Pumphrey

Caitlin “Cat” Amanda Pumphrey, 31, of Crawfordville Fl, passed away far too young on March 10, 2022, after bravely battling cancer for three years. Ever the optimist, she handled her cancer diagnosis with strength and grace from the beginning. She continued to smile and laugh through many surgeries and pain until the end. Caitlin was so kind-hearted and full of life. She had a wicked sense of humor and her laughter touched everyone she encountered. Caitlin was an avid reader and loved to read and write fanfiction stories. She also loved to paint and was so proud of the bowling ball she earned in her bowling league. She loved the color purple, and you can be sure that she usually always had something purple on her person, whether it was her purple Converse, or those purple Crocs she loved so much! However, the true love of Caitlin’s life was music. She was a beautiful singer and loved to sing karaoke with her family and friends. Caitlin will always be the queen of Karaoke! She especially loved show tunes; her favorite musical was “Wicked”, so much so that she had her favorite lyric from Defying Gravity tattooed on her wrist. When it comes to her career, she was employed by the Department of Revenue and genuinely enjoyed her job and her coworkers. She also worked seasonally at the FSU Stadium for the Seminole Boosters from the time that she was 19 years old. She truly enjoyed the people and friendships she made there over the years. Caitlin is survived by her loving mother, Tammy Pumphrey; her two siblings, Heather Granger (Heather’s husband, Brandon) and Adam Pumphrey (Adam’s fiancée, Lexie Quinn); her maternal grandparents; her aunts, Barbie Goodson and Karen Smith; three nephews, one niece, several cousins, and countless friends. A Celebration of Caitlin’s Life will be held on March 19, 2022, at 3:30PM at Harvey Young Chapel, located at Family Funeral Home at 3106 Crawfordville, Fl, 32327. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society. The attire for this Celebration is NOT formal. In true Caitlin fashion, the family has requested that you rock your blue jeans, your vans or crocs, and be as vibrant as you want! Caitlin, with her gorgeous red hair, her infectious smile, her witty intellect, and her absolutely beautiful soul, will be greatly missed by all.
